Kiehl’s Line-Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate and Centella Skin-Calming Facial Cleanser

Though still much-loved for classics like the Crème with Silk Groom hair fix-it, Blue Astringent Herbal face lotion, and Crème de Corps body moisturizer, everyone's favorite apothecary brand, Kiehl's Since 1851, has enjoyed great success with Dermatologist Solutions, their line of powerful treatments designed to address specific skin concerns. This fall, two new products are joining the line:

A gentle, soap-free gel, the Centella Skin-Calming Facial Cleanser contains a unique combination of ingredients to help soothe and moisturize sensitive, stressed or irritated skin. Along with Aloe Vera and Chamomile to calm and comfort, the milky formula contains the relatively rare Centella Asiatica, a reddish-purple tropical flower found in the Far East. Also known as Gotu Kola, and popular in Ayurvedic remedies, the herb has potent healing and recovery properties; its nickname, "Tiger's Herb", comes from the fact that tigers have been known to seek out the flower to help treat their wounds. Free of alcohol, dye, fragrance, and sodium lauryl sulfate, the cleanser-which can be used with or without water-effectively gets rid of impurities and traces of makeup while helping skin retain moisture. Any itchiness, stinging, or tightness associated with sensitive skin is also quickly soothed. Available in an 8.4oz size, the Centella Skin-Calming Facial Cleanser retails for $28.50.

Another new addition to the Dermatologist Solutions family is the Line-Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate, which pretty much works the miracles its name suggests. Tested (and verified) in dermatologist-controlled studies, the powerful anti-aging serum visibly decreases the appearance of crow's feet and sub-orbital wrinkles, and lightens the eye area by minimizing dark circles. The key is a combination of highly-potent 10.5% Pure Vitamin C and Haloxyl™, a new ingredient that reduces inflammation, increases skin density and stimulates the skin's own capacity to fight pigmentation; both powerful ingredients have been specially-formulated and stabilized for use around the delicate eye area. (Bitter Orange extract is also included to help fight the dark circles.) Not only does the concentrate tighten and brighten for a fresher appearance, but with continued use it also helps address some of the more serious signs of aging, like creases and wrinkles. The .5oz size of Line-Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate retails for $40.

Beginning in October, both products will be available at Kiehl's freestanding stores, on kiehls.com, by mail order at 1-800-KIEHLS-1, and through retailers like Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York and Saks Fifth Avenue.
